About Me
With 18 years in Equity Research, Anik identified a significant gap in available industry data. While financial data was readily accessible, other crucial data—such as economic, industry, and operational data—was missing, even though it heavily influences market movement.
To address this, Anik developed a software solution alongside his role as a Research Analyst. Initially built in Visual Basic with a Microsoft SQL back-end, the software caught the attention of investors.
IIM Bangalore mentored him, and IIM Calcutta also saw potential. Recognizing the need for scalability, Anik rebuilt the software in Python with a Microsoft SQL back-end. The COVID pandemic caused a delay, causing the project to miss the Startup India funding by three months. Undeterred, his son, Aishik Mitra (then in Class VIII), took the initiative to build the web version. Today, the web version is live.
